I am always looking for a way to add fruit to waffles, pancakes, and french toast.  Fried apples are a family favorite.  I recommend cutting the apples with an apple peeler, corer, slicer.  It is by far the fastest way to cut and peel apples.

Ingredients

  • 5 apples peeled and sliced
  • 2 Tbls butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2-1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup apple juice

Instructions

  1. In an 12 inch frying pan on medium heat, melt butter.

  2. Add apples and stir occasionally for 2 minutes

  3. Add sugar and cinnamon to taste.  Stir until combined.

  4. Add apple juice and stir.  Let simmer for 8 minutes, until apples are tender and juice has thickened.
