Balsamic Butter Sauce
I recently went to Trader Joe’s for the first time. I know, I am a little late to the game, but hey, I made it, right? While I was there, I bought some Butternut Squash Ravioli. Normally I would put tomato sauce or a three cheese sauce on ravioli, but not Butternut Squash Ravioli. I had it once in a restaurant with a butter reduction sauce. I decided to do something similar but with balsamic vinegar. It was delicious! Super easy and nice on a night when you don’t have a lot of time – there are only three ingredients and you probably have them in your kitchen right now! You could also serve this on chicken, vegetables, pasta – it is a very versatile sauce.
Balsamic Butter Sauce
Tangy, buttery sauce you can pour on ravioli, meat, or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2/3 cup butter cut into tablespoon size pieces
- 2 cloves garlic minced
Instructions
-
In a small saucepan, bring the balsamic vinegar to a boil over medium heat.
-
Add garlic and stir. Let boil for 5-10 minutes, until it becomes thicker and reduced. Turn off the heat until you are ready to add the butter.
-
When you are ready to serve, add butter. Whisk in butter until it is melted and incorporated into a thick sauce. Enjoy.
