Taco Seasoning
I stopped buying packets of taco seasoning a few years ago. I thought, “I have a cupboard full of seasoning, I should be able to make this myself.” You know what? I was right! It takes just a few minutes – yes, a few more than it does to open a packet – but it is worth it for the flavors you get. I think it is better than the packet – I’d love to hear what you think.
I usually make a triple batch, put it in a tiny jar and store in my spice drawer. If I am making taco meat, I use about three tablespoons. I also use it for bean dip, chicken, you could add it to ranch dressing to make “Mexican Ranch,” or taco soup. So many possibilities.
