Snickerdoodles

Snickerdoodles are one of my favorite cookies. They are simple but SO good. If you haven’t made them, don’t wait another second. This recipe is easy and you most likely have everything you need in your pantry.

The one ingredient that makes snickerdoodles unique is cream of tartar. Cream of tartar is a form of tartaric acid. This acidic powder gives a tart flavor much like lemon or vinegar. It gives the snickerdoodle it’s distinct flavor. Cream of tartar has lots of benefits in cooking. Check out this article to read more about why you should be baking with it.

Anything with cinnamon and sugar in it is something I want to eat. Once you make the cookie dough, you’ll role the ball in a cinnamon and sugar mixture and then bake. You’ll know they are done when the tell tale cracks appear on the top of the cookie. All you have left to do is enjoy!
