My Favorite Baking Sheets
If you have been baking for a significant amount of time you know how important your baking sheets are. If you are just starting out, let me tell you, they are important. This post is all about what pans to use to get the best, most even bakes.
Color: You want a light baking sheet. Dark sheets tend to make the bottom of your cookies, tarts, pastries, etc, dark and cook faster than the rest. A light baking sheets gives you a more even bake.
Metal: I like aluminum. The baking sheets are durable, conduct heat evenly and more quickly, and are easy to clean. Plus, they are fairly light, which is good when you’re taking them in and out of the oven.
Where you can buy: Of course the first place we look is Amazon (see my disclaimer). You can buy 2 for about $22.
You can also buy them here for about $3.80 each. It is a restaurant supply store so the shipping is high, around $15. If you are ordering a lot, this is a great resource for baking supplies. They have a package of 1000 sheets of parchment paper for $20! You can get 1/4 sheets as well and covers for both types of pans.
