Creamy Pasta with Bacon and Onion
Do you need a quick weeknight meal? This is one of our family’s favorites. Of course, who doesn’t like pasta? One great thing about this is that it doesn’t matter what kind of noodle you have in your pantry. Just about any kind will work. I love the cork screw, cellantani as in the picture.
This recipe is simple – just a little chopping and grating. You could do the chopping ahead of time and whip it all together in about 15 minutes.
Creamy Pasta with Bacon and Onion
Your choice of pasta in a creamy parmesan sauce with bacon and onions.
Ingredients
- 16 oz pasta
- 1/2 lb bacon chopped
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
-
Cook pasta according to package directions. While pasta is cooking, place bacon and onion in a 12 inch skillet on medium heat. Cook until the bacon starts to turn crispy - about 5-7 minutes.
-
Add cream and stir until it begins to boil. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the cheese is melted. Add salt and pepper to taste.
-
When pasta is drained, return to the pot you cooked it in or put in a large serving bowl. Pour sauce over the top and stir to coat pasta. Serve with your favorite vegetable or salad and enjoy!
