Tomato Basil Spaghetti

Fresh tomatoes and basil combine to make a tasty, light sauce.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz spaghetti prepared according to package
  • 8 cups chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan grated
  • 1/2 cup Mozzarella grated

Instructions

  1. Chop tomatoes and basil.  Place in a 12 inch pan on medium heat. Add garlic and salt and pepper to taste.  Once it starts to bubble, turn to simmer for a total of 30 minutes.  

  2. Cook pasta according to the package directions.  Drain.  Place in a large serving bowl and pour in sauce.  Toss with the Parmesan and mozzarella.
