A layer of cinnamon rolls on top of a light custard dripping with warm vanilla sauce.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Slice bread into cubes and place into a greased 1 quart casserole dish.
Mix sugar salt and cinnamon in a bowl. Add the eggs and mix again. Scald milk on the stove or in the microwave. You want to heat the milk but do not let it boil. While stirring the egg mixture, slowly add the milk.
Pour mixture over the cinnamon rolls. Place in the oven in a pan of how water. Bake for 45-50 minutes until custard is set. It will have a slight jiggle but maintain form.
Melt butter in a small sauce pan. Add milk and vanilla. Stir until the ingredients combine. Do not boil. Serve over bread pudding.
